I'm still here - and I'm drawing again... I had a lot of fun doing this. I missed Harry!
I've finished rereading Deathly Hallows again, and it makes me want to remember that mentality of when he was completely innocent to anything that was to come. I can still remember when I first read that chapter and how excited and nervous and isolated he must have felt. All those same initial emotions are still there. I don't know how - maybe that's why the books are so awesome. All the feelings Harry goes through, I take on, and they stay with me! They just keep piling on and becoming more and more complex... so awesome. Anyways here we go:

Art! Finally. Here's Hermione doing Harry and Ron's homework. At least Harry has the decency to try and stay up. I love that he's kicking over Ron's foot stool. That was complete drawing fluke. Or was it..?
Tomorrow morning is going to be -38 with the wind chill. Wow. It's only December 6.

Mom thought his composition looked better, so here you go. The version above - my initial concept - was supposed to give you a feeling of falling. Really, it works any way.
I debated posting it upside down for a while.

I had to share this, because I, as awesomely nerdy as can be, am deeply amused by this.
I spent a long time leading up to Deathly Hallows deciding what music I was going to listen to, and settled on Sigur Ros' album Takk - especially from Chapter 32 and on...
THEN I read this interview with Dan Radcliffe:
What did you do when you finished reading Deathly Hallows?
I was in a car at the time. I had my iPod in, and I was listening to Sigur Rós. I don't know if you know them. They're a band who do sort of instrumental music, but it's just amazing. I think they're from Scandinavia somewhere. They've got an album called Takk...I was listening to, and it's very, very appropriate [for the end of Deathly Hallows]. I was listening to it and I remember I was sort of turned away from everybody else in the car, just so I could be in my own little world when I read it. What did I do when I finished? I think I just put the book down and carried on listening to the music. Just looked out of the car window, 'cause I couldn't think of what else to do. I'm still struggling to really take it in. It doesn't leave you in a hurry.
Iceland, Dan. They are from Iceland. But still, freaking cool we chose the same music to listen to.

I must say, it is much more ominous with real life paper and dusty pastels.

I've been working on some art for www.the-leaky-cauldron.org and it's driving me crazy because it's looking rather unsatisfactory in my mind's eye. Any constructive critique/help would be most appreciated:

This is my final project I did for my summer painting class. We had to take an artist and try to reproduce one of their paintings. I chose Lawren Harris' Mount Thule, Bylot Island. Awesome.
I only started taking pictures about half way through though, but here it is.

Sometimes, when I really want to read Deathly Hallows, I go to the leaky cauldron and spin the little 3D book hypnotically while the little timer brings me closer to nirvana.

Must go.

Guys.
I just had a full length dream where I watched the entire OotP movie.
OMG it was so amazing. I woke up and thought,
Wow what an amazing job they did.
And then I realized it was a dream.
Now it's slowly trickling out of my brain.
Mwah!
I guess my little fandom brain just couldn't wait any longer.
Now if I can somehow dream myself reading through Deathly Hallows...
